What helps in the description
- Whether the tree is in your yard or in the parkway. A parkway tree goes through the city's Forestry section, as the who to call page explains.
- What kind of tree, if you know. Ash and oak both change the job here.
- About how tall it is, compared with your roofline if that is easier.
- About how wide the trunk is, measured 4.5 feet off the ground. A rough guess is fine. The permit page says why that spot matters.
- What it could hit: a house, a fence, a power line.
- Its condition: dead, leaning, split, or already down.
- Whether you want the stump ground and the debris hauled off.
- Whether a truck can reach it, and how wide any gate is.
- Your general area, like a neighborhood or nearest main road.
Please leave your street address out of that box. The company that takes the job can get it from you.

The company does. This site gives no quotes and sets no prices, even with "Quotes" in its name. The how this works page has the details.
Not for emergencies
This is not an emergency service. If a tree is on a power line or a house, or someone is hurt, call 911 or the utility first. The storm damage page has more on what to do.
